Life at Jarjum, 2025

Finding our voice, together.

In 2025, our students worked with Aunty Kerry and Aunty Evie from Burrundi Theatre to create Jarjum's school song.

They shaped the lyrics around their own experiences, hopes and pride in their school. The process brought together listening, creativity and teamwork, giving students a shared way to express who they are.

Students performed the finished song at Year 6 Graduation, singing in English and Sydney Aboriginal language. It was a celebration of learning, culture and belonging.

Celebrating commitment

In 2025, 65 Deadlies awards celebrated student achievement and growth at weekly assemblies. Yellow Hats also recognised students' commitment to attending school.

Trying something new

The year included Jarjum's first Cross Country Carnival and an interschool debate with OLMC, giving students new opportunities to participate, share their strengths and challenge themselves.

Stories adapted from the Principal's report in our 2025 Annual Report.
